A Great match Would be A...

  • Relational Leader: Someone who leads out of relationship rather than position.
  • Team Builder: Someone who desires to resource and equip teams to do ministry

  • Person of Integrity: Someone who demonstrates strong character when no one is looking.
  • Team Player: Someone who plays well with the others and who demonstrates humility in their work.

NCOC & THE OPPORTUNITY

This is great opportunity for a young man to come and grow.  We are looking for someone who will focus on Student Ministry and the over all growth of the church.  There is potential to grow in other areas of the church as a strong record of success is displayed.  Come and grow with us.

  • Nashville Church of Christ (NCOC) is a growing, Christ-centered family focused on one simple mission: Love God. Love Others. Live for Christ. In a small town of just 186 people, God is doing something big—gathering more than 230+ people each week who are committed to following Jesus and doing life together.

We’re especially passionate about young families and the next generation. On any given Sunday, our building is full of life—from a busy nursery and Pre-K with 18+ little ones, to 30+ elementary kids, 40+ junior and senior high students, and a growing  community of 30+ young adults. Kids aren’t just attending church here—they’re known, discipled, and deeply loved.

At NCOC, relationships matter. We believe faith grows best in community—across generations and seasons of life.

  • Our church is located in Big Prairie, Ohio, in the heart of Ohio Amish Country, a community known for its slower pace, strong values, and close-knit feel. Families here benefit from excellent local schools, safe neighborhoods, and a place where kids can still grow up with room to run and roots to build.

Just minutes away is Mohican State Park, one of Ohio’s most beautiful outdoor destinations—offering hiking trails, scenic overlooks, camping, canoeing on the Mohican River, and year-round family adventures. It’s a setting that naturally encourages connection, reflection, and time together.

  • We exist to... LOVE GOD  |  LOVE OTHERS  |  LIVE FOR CHRIST

    We do this by:

    • GATHERING: Come to church
    • GROUPING:  Who are you connecting with?
    • GIVING: How can we use our time, talents, and treasures for God's glory
    • GOING:  We are not called to sit and wait but to go and engage
    • GUIDING:  Raise up leaders

    What's NCOC's Personality?

    • YOUTH & FAMILIES!   We have an amazing children's ministry that would not be expected in a little town like ours.
    • MEN...RISE UP! We believe a gap in our world has been created because men are not rising up to walk worthy.  We embrace the strength and power we find in Christ as we grow to lead our church, family and communities to build God's kingdom here in Big Prairie, OH. We have a TrailLife Troop that we would expect the new Associate to be heavily involved in.
    • COMMUNITY: We are not only a welcoming church but we gather together well and often.  Most of our events include food, some crazy chaos, and being outside.
    • Lead and oversee middle and high school ministries who live in Holmes County, OH and surrounding areas including weekly gatherings, discipleship environments, and outreach opportunities.  We don't want to be busy we want to be affective.
    • Oversee the transition of students from elementary ministry into student ministry and transition students out of high school ministry into young adult ministry
    • Recruit, develop, and empower a team of adult and student leaders to share ownership of the ministry
    • Shepherd students and families, providing spiritual guidance, care, and biblical teaching.
    • Partner with parents as the primary disciplers of their students, equipping them with tools and encouragement.
    • Collaborate with the broader staff team to serve and ensure alignment and integration with the church’s overall mission.
    • Be active in participation and an encouragement with Trail Life Troop OH-2456
    • Create environments that are welcoming, fun, and spiritually impactful, where students invite their friends and grow in faith.
    • We are seeking a man with education in biblical studies and/or Student ministry experience
    • A vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
    • Alignment with NCOC's theology and mission
    • Desire to teach Scripture clearly and practically
    • Relational leadership style with strong emotional stability
    • Comfort serving  in a small-staff, high-ownership environment- We give you the playing field and let you loose.
    • Work with students, volunteers, and families
    • Willingness to grow, learn, and lead with humility and confidence
